A b o u t - M e

Well for those that are curious, here's a little bio about myself.

I was born in Montreal Quebec (Canada) and moved across the country to British Columbia when I was a few months old. I've spent the majority of my childhood in the lower mainland of BC and also in Edmonton Alberta.

I was raised with a younger sister, and two younger brothers (and as of last year a new baby sister). We all went to schools that had French Immersion programs as well as Francophone programs. I graduated in Chilliwack BC at Sardis Secondary School, at the top 30% of my graduating class.

Since then I have been working as a customer service representative for a multi-level company called NHT Global, answering telephone calls and emails for our distributors in english, french and spanish. Currently I am still working as a rep full time, but hope that sometime in the near future I will be able to attend night courses for graphic designs.

Interests:

Anime - Anime is a one of my biggest passions. Ever since I saw an episode of Sailormoon back when I was younger, I have always been inspired by the very feminine, big eyed drawings from Japanese artists. Some of my favorite series include Wolf's Rain (excellent series, even named my cat after the name -> Rayne), Trigun (absolutely hilarious, Vash cracks me up), Record of Lodoss War (has to be one of the best in plot and story, amazing characters), Inu Yasha (who doesn't love the stubborn, hot tempered, rash yet loyal half demon Inu Yasha? I mainly watched this series because of the romance between the two main characters... awww so cute!), Full Metal Alchemist (stunning artwork, and great story), Angel Sanctuary (aside from the incest, the artwork and backstory to the characters is really intrigueing) and the list goes on.

Art - Ever since I was 3 years old, I have been drawing. At first I got into realistic drawing but when I was introduced to japanese animation I soon began focusing my drawings on this style, trying to develop my own. Drawing has always been my biggest passion, and though I am by no means a high ranking artist I feel I do have potential and so I always seek to learn from other artists how they develop their styles in hopes to express myself artistically and create beautiful pieces that I can share with friends and family.

I have however taken a break from my drawing for about a year (aside from one or two sketches) and been working on my graphic designs. I found that learning the program Photoshop was something that I enjoyed, and I have since taught myself everything (I've used tutorials, but never attended any schooling) I feel that I have good taste when it comes to a well produced image and so I practice often by completing signature and wallpaper requests for friends. I truly believe that practice makes perfect, and so from now until the end I will forever continue expressing myself artistically.

Video Games - RPGs. What else can I say? Though I have played games such as Mario Brothers, Donkey Kong, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Mortal Combat, Dynasty Warriors etc, my true passion and talent is for RPGs. My favorite series is the Final Fantasy, as I have played and own every single game from FF1 - FF11. I have however played other great RPGs such as Shining Force, Legend of Dragoon, Breath of Fire IV and the list goes on.

Literature - I'm a huge fan of science fiction and romance novels. I have read many great series such as "The Vampire Chronicles" series from Anne Rice (Who doesn't love Lestat?), "The Jerle Shannara" by Terry Brooks, the Dragon series by Anne McCarthy and of course one of my favorites, The Star Wars series by numerous authors. I have always been, and always be one of those library nerds. If you ever knew me in high school, you could always find me in the library reading, lol.

My Soulmate - Most important person in my life: Felipe Arroyo. He has been my best friend, and my partner for over a year now. We met online through my forum and became friends when we both signed up for Final Fantasy XI. We spent so much time playing that game with our Elvaan characters Xean and Zerayla that eventually the friendship formed on a different level. Since then we have gone back and forth from BC (Canada) to CA (USA) spending 1-3 weeks at a time, whenever we have vacation. Our plans are to move in together when he is done college, and he hopes to get into a good gaming company and work on designing and developing state of the art games with intense plot lines.

He is truly the one person who has supported me and helped me get through some really difficult times in my life and he always puts a smile on my face. I've never met a person who has made me feel as loved and important as he does, nor have I ever met someone who has written me a love song, then played a guitar and sang it me!! (It was freezing cold that night, but well worth the romance!!!) Feli is the greatest gift I could of ever asked, and I am so happy to have found a person who can understand me and let me express myself entirely as much as he does. There are still times I think "damn, sure glad all the other girls never took notice because now he's MINE!"

So there you have it, a little bit about me. I don't have the most interesting life, but one that makes me content enough to smile about it. I hope to one day start a family and share my life with them, and also to take my artistic skills to a much higher level, but for now I will continue to focus on the things of the present (bills, siblings who can't get enough of you, keeping my man smiling and of course trying to teach my cat Rayne that she can't eat plastic! =O)
